Discussion
Installed Linux Mint 10 (Julia) 64-bit. Everything worked out of the box including all of the hot keys, except the following:
Built-in microphone: Could not get rid of background hum and crackling for any manner of sound input (sound recorder, Skype, etc.).
Wi-Fi Adapter: Broadcom chipset required download of proprietary drivers.
DVD: Had to install and run regionset and set to region 1 (USA) before it would play or do anything with a region 1 DVD.
